The PowerPoint Import feature allows users to quickly convert PowerPoint slides into DIGIDECK slides. Instead of rebuilding slides manually, this tool automatically imports supported content types—text, images, and videos—and places them into DIGIDECK components, making it faster to move existing presentations into the platform.
How to Import PowerPoint Slides
Follow these steps to import slides from a PowerPoint file into your DIGIDECK:
1. Open the Add Menu
Navigate to your DIGIDECK presentation.
Click Add in the top-left corner of the editor.
Select Import PowerPoint Slides.
2. Upload Your PowerPoint File
In the Import PowerPoint Slides window, drag and drop your PowerPoint file or select it from your computer.
The system will begin uploading and processing the file.
3. Select a Chapter
Choose the Chapter where the imported slides should be placed.
This determines where the new slides will appear within your deck.
4. Select Slides to Import
Once processing is complete, thumbnails of the slides will appear.
Select the slides you want to import, or click Select All Slides.
5. Apply DIGIDECK Styling (Optional but Recommended)
Enable Apply DIGIDECK Theme to apply your deck’s master styling.
This ensures components automatically inherit the styling defined in the DIGIDECK theme.
6. Import the Slides
Click Import Selected Slides.
A progress screen will appear while DIGIDECK prepares your slides.
Once complete, the slides will be added to the selected chapter.
Current Limitations
The PowerPoint Import feature currently supports the following content types:
Text
Images
Videos
Please note the following limitations:
Images must be embedded in the PowerPoint file. Linked images will not be imported and will not generate an image component.
Video files can increase processing time. Large or multiple video files may cause the import process to take longer. Only include videos if they are necessary.
Styling may differ from PowerPoint. Applying the DIGIDECK Master Style ensures components adopt the deck’s styling and maintain visual consistency.
