Deck Insights and Fix with DIGI

How to generate an Insights report on a master deck, read the health score and findings, fix findings with DIGI, and set up a brand guide.

Written by DIGIDECK Support

Insights reads your master deck the way a careful editor would, scores its health, and lists what to fix. Fix with DIGI lets you hand a finding to DIGI and approve the change before anything touches the deck.

What Insights does

A master deck grows over time. Titles drift, two slides end up saying the same thing, a year reference goes stale, and some slides never get used while others get added to every presentation by hand. Insights runs a report over the whole deck and turns those problems into a list of findings, each one tied to a slide, with a severity and a suggested fix.

Reports look at seven areas:

  • Brand & Compliance checks slides against the brand guide you upload: colors, fonts, logos, tone, language, and any custom rules.

  • Titles & Labeling flags titles that are generic, missing, duplicated, too long, too short, or don't match the slide.

  • Duplicates groups slides that are exact or near copies so you can consolidate them.

  • Content Gaps points out topics that are missing, thin, or underrepresented for a given audience, industry, stage, or use case.

  • Usage Patterns shows which slides are never used, which are busiest, and which are trending up or down.

  • Intent vs. Usage compares how you arranged the master deck with what presenters actually do: slides they always add, always remove, or move somewhere else.

  • Stale Content catches dated timestamps and old year references.

Where to find it

  1. Open the master deck from your deck library.

  2. Click the Insights tab in the deck's navigation.

  3. The Insights sidebar opens with Intelligence Reports selected. Brand Guidelines, Team Data, and Intelligence Settings are also listed there.

The Insights tab is visible to deck and organization administrators once Deck Insights is enabled in the deck's settings.

Generate your first report

The first time you open Intelligence Reports you'll see "No intelligence report yet." Click Generate First Report.

Generation runs in the background and can take a few minutes on a large deck. The page shows "Analyzing your deck" while it works, and the report appears when it's done. After that, the button in the top right reads Generate New Report. Each report is saved, so you can compare them over time.

Note: a report is a snapshot. Its health score and findings stay as they were when it ran, even after you fix things. Generate a new report to see the updated picture.

Read the report

The top of the report shows the date and time it was generated, the deck's Health Score, the count of Critical Issues and Warnings, and how many slides and chapters were scanned. Use the arrows beside the date to step to the previous or next report, or click View All Reports to search and sort every report for this deck.

Below that is Recommended Actions. This is a short list of the changes that would move the health score most, each marked High, Medium, or Low Impact with the number of findings it covers. If you only have ten minutes, start here. Click Hide actions to collapse it.

Filter and work through findings

Across the top of the findings list is a row of category tabs: All, then one tab for each area above, each with a count. Categories that don't fit sit under More. Next to them are severity filters for Critical, Warning, and Resolved. Pick a category and a severity to narrow the list, and click Clear filters to see everything again.

Each finding is a card. It shows the category, a severity badge (Critical, Warning, or Informational), the slide it's about, and a short description. A confidence figure tells you how sure DIGI is about this finding; hover it for an explanation. Click Show details for the evidence behind it, such as the matching slides for a duplicate or the usage numbers for a pattern.

Every card has these actions:

  • Edit Slide opens the slide in the deck editor so you can make the change yourself.

  • Fix with DIGI hands the finding to DIGI. The next section walks through it.

  • Preview change and Copy finding ID are under the card's actions menu.

Findings you've dealt with move under the Resolved filter with the date they were resolved.

Fix a finding with DIGI

Fix with DIGI is for when you'd rather describe the fix than make it. It opens a conversation with DIGI about this one finding, and DIGI does the editing after you approve.

  1. Click Fix with DIGI on a finding card. You'll see "Opening DIGI for this finding" and the DIGI chat opens with the request already filled in.

  2. DIGI re-checks the slide first. Findings come from a saved report, so DIGI confirms the problem still exists before suggesting anything. If the slide has changed since the report ran, DIGI tells you and asks you to review the slide again.

  3. DIGI proposes a change. For a title fix, the card shows a side-by-side preview with the current title and the suggested title, plus a note saying whether it was checked against the current slide. For other kinds of findings, DIGI works through the proposal with you in chat.

  4. Confirm or decline in DIGI. Nothing is written to the master deck until you say yes in the conversation. Declining leaves the deck exactly as it was.

  5. When you confirm, DIGI applies the change and checks that it saved. The card updates to say the change was verified.

A few things to know:

  • The report you're looking at doesn't change after a fix. It still shows the original finding and health score. When you've worked through a batch, click Generate New Report to reassess.

  • If you start a fix and switch to another finding, the first card's button changes to Continue in DIGI so you can pick up where you left off. DIGI handles one confirmation at a time, so finish or decline the open one before starting another.

  • Preview change on a card shows DIGI's proposal without opening the chat. It's a read-only look and doesn't apply anything.

  • Fix with DIGI needs deck or organization administrator access, because it edits the master deck.

Set up a brand guide

Brand & Compliance findings depend on a brand guide. Without one, that category stays empty.

  1. In the Insights sidebar, click Brand Guidelines.

  2. Pick the master style the guide applies to.

  3. Edit Brand Guides in markdown mode.

  4. Use Edit to make changes in place, Save to keep them, or Revert to go back to the last saved version. View shows the rendered guide.

The next report you generate will check every slide against it, and each Brand & Compliance finding will name the policy and the guideline section it came from.

What if I don't see Insights or Fix with DIGI?

The Insights tab appears for deck and organization administrators when Deck Insights is enabled for the deck. If you administer the deck and don't see the tab, reach out to your CSM or email support@sportsdigita.com.

Fix with DIGI is powered by DIGI, DIGIDECK's AI solution. If the Insights report is there but the Fix with DIGI button isn't, DIGI isn't part of your account yet. Reach out to your CSM or support@sportsdigita.com to learn more about DIGI and how to get access. You can still work through every finding with Edit Slide in the meantime.
