This article goes over how to animate a component that has been added to your slides and presentation. Each component can have a unique entrance and exit animations.

How to Animate a Component:

  1. Navigate to Layout mode.

  2. Select your component and then click the Animations icon on the top menu. This will bring up different options for animation.

  3. Once you select a preferred animation style, a new menu will appear where you can change the settings. Adjust the duration, delay, and timing for this specific component.

  4. Preview the animation by clicking the Play button within this menu. You can also clear the animation entirely by clicking the Remove button.

Once an animation has been added to the component, the Animate button will now be Yellow to confirm that it has been applied.

Exit Animations:

To use Exit Animations you must have Slide Transitions enabled on your DIGIDECK. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to discuss adding this feature to your DIGIDECK.

Exit Animations are a way to add more movement when leaving a slide. This is an advanced feature so we recommend just using your base slide transition as an exit as that should provide enough movement for most cases.

How to set an exit animation (two ways):

1. One way set the exit animation is to use the reverse of your enter animation. This allows for a quick 1 click way to set the animation.

This will use all the same timings so this works best for simple slides and slides that animate in one direction, ie in from the bottom in a cascading manner.

Example:

In this example we have components sliding in from the bottom with delays in order. Because it's delayed in order we can simply use the reverse toggle to use those same timings to exit those components.

2. The other option is to set an Exit Animation manually.

  • Click Set Exit Animation

  • Select the Animation type

  • Set your desired Exit Animation timing
