One of the benefits of DIGIDECK is its ability to be viewed on any screen, regardless of size. This Learning Lab covered a few of the most common ways to style your deck for optimal viewing as well as the benefits and drawbacks of a Dynamic or Fixed Canvas. This recording covers:

  • The ins and outs of mobile styling (dynamic canvas) vs fixed aspect ratio (fixed canvas) designed slides

  • When, where, and why you should use each

  • Additional ways you can optimize your DIGIDECK to ensure scalability as your organization grows and evolves

Check out the recording to learn more about how to optimize your DIGIDECK for any screen.

Fixed Canvas + Landscape Mobile

Fixed Desktop presentation slides will always retain their 16:9 aspect ratio to fill the screen on standard TVs and computer screens and elements on the page will not reposition themselves on different screen sizes.

  • Mobile viewers will have the same layout as a desktop viewer and will have the best experience if their phone or mobile device is turned horizontally to a landscape view.

Fixed Canvas + Fixed Mobile Portrait

Fixed Desktop presentation slides will always retain their 16:9 aspect ratio to fill the screen on standard TVs and computer screens and elements on the page will not reposition themselves on different screen sizes.

  • Mobile devices have their own portrait layout which can be configured separately from the desktop experience.

  • Also maintains a vertical 16:9 aspect ratio so things will not resize or reposition on differing screen sizes.

Dynamic Canvas + Landscape Mobile

Presentation slides will resize, scale, and reposition elements to look their best on all desktop screens. When the viewer is interacting on a mobile device, however, the elements will retain their desktop format and look best if the viewer flips their phone horizontally to view in landscape.

  • No mobile styling is needed.

  • Will require recipients to flip their phones for the best viewing experience.
*A separate landing page will be designed to direct viewers to flip their device to landscape.*

Dynamic Canvas + Dynamic Mobile Portrait

Dynamic Canvas slides will always fill the full window on whatever device the viewer is using. Elements are designed to resize, adjust their position, and scale to make things look their best on all screen sizes and mobile devices.

  • DIGIDECK Templates will be pre-styled to be responsive on both desktop and mobile devices.

  • A separate mobile device experience allows you to format content for desktop and phone viewers separately so each can have an optimal layout.
