Use a company owned domain for your master deck

If you're looking to enhance your viewer's DIGIDECK experience and increase the viewing stats for your shared presentations, we recommend using a Vanity URL within your DIGIDECK. A Vanity URL allows you to use a brand specific web address for your master deck, providing a branded and professional appearance for your viewers.

What are Vanity URLs?

Vanity URLs change your DIGIDECK Master Deck domain to a brand specific subdomain and domain that appear when someone views a presentation. This means instead of using a generic DIGIDECK link, you can have a link that reflects your brand.

Why Use Vanity URLs?

Using Vanity URLs offers several benefits:

  • Brand Consistency: Maintain your brand's identity and professionalism by using a web address that matches your organization's domain.

  • Enhanced Trust: Custom URLs that use a brand domain can help increase trust among your audience, as the link is clearly associated with your brand.

Setting Up Your Vanity URL

Important: Your organization must already own the domain you wish to use for your Vanity URL. We are unable to create or obtain domains on behalf of our clients.

Customer Responsibility:

  1. Create a Subdomain: On your domain, create a subdomain specifically for your presentations, such as `desiredsubdomain.yourbranddomain.com`.

  2. Add a CNAME Record: Configure a CNAME record for your new subdomain pointing to `deckviewer.v5.platform.sportsdigita.com`.

    1. For example, your DNS configuration should include an entry like: `presentations.yourcompany.com CNAME deckviewer.v5.platform.sportsdigita.com`

  3. Notify DIGIDECK by Sportsdigita to complete the configuration: Once your subdomain is configured, email the details to customersuccess@sportsdigita.com. Our team will then perform the necessary setup on our end.

    1. The details in your email should include the full URL, including the subdomain and domain, as well as a link to the DIGIDECK deck you want the Vanity URL added to.

Note: Our team will request the set-up of the SSL certificate for your Vanity URL as part of the final configuration

Important:

  • A specific subdomain may only be used within one (1) DIGIDECK Master Deck as a Vanity URL. If you want to add a Vanity URL to multiple Master Decks, a unique Vanity URL is required for each Master Deck.

  • You may add multiple Vanity URLs to one deck, but one Vanity URL must be identified as the default

DIGIDECK by Sportsdigita Responsibility:

After receiving your email request for a provisioned Vanity URL, our team will:

  1. Request the setup of the SSL certificate for your Vanity URL.

  2. Add the Vanity URL to your DIGIDECK settings.

  3. Create a test presentation to ensure the Vanity URL is functioning correctly.
