Overview
Our new Layout Manager update gives users direct access to their asset libraries, the DIGIDECK icon library, and the Component Store while editing within layout mode.
The newly labeled Asset Panels; the Add, Gallery, Icon, and Layers panel are found in the left border of the layout window.
Use the Add panel to quickly add components to the slide you are building.
Drag-and-drop assets within the Gallery panel to upload straight to your deck's asset libraries; click an asset to add it to your slide without having to access the component store.
Click-to-add an icon to your slide from the Icon panel without having to add an Icon component before selecting the desired icon.
Use the Layers panel to drag-and-drop to reorder the component layers of your slide.

Gallery Panel
The Gallery panel gives users direct access to their deck's asset libraries (Images library, Videos library, Files library, and Audio library).
Click on the 'Gallery' tab located in the left border of the layout window (while in Layout mode) to open the Gallery panel.
Add Gallery Assets to a Slide
You can to add Image, Video, File, or Audio asset to a slide by clicking on the desired asset shown within the panel.
Note: adding an asset from the Gallery panel will add the asset into a Image component, Video component, PDF Display component, or Audio Player component; the component added will be based on the asset type selected
Switching Between Gallery Asset Libraries
Use/click the Images, Videos, Files, and Audio tabs at the top of the Gallery panel to switch between your deck's asset libraries.
Notes:
the Files tab currently only lists PDF files that have been uploaded, other file types may become available in future updates
adding an image from the Images tab will add an Image component; if you need to display multiple images within a rotator you will need to add an Image Rotator component from the Add (Component Store) panel
Asset Upload Options
There are two ways assets can be uploaded using the Gallery panel.
Assets can be dragged-and-dropped into the Gallery panel to quickly upload the dropped assets into their respective asset libraries.
Note: you can drop assets of different types (such as Images, Videos, Files, and Audio) together and they will automatically be added to the correct asset library
Assets uploaded using the drag-and-drop method can't be tagged; however tags can be added anytime after from within the respective asset library.
Once the assets have successfully uploaded using the drag-and-drop method you will see an 'Upload Complete' notification display at the bottom of the Gallery panel/
You will need to click the 'Refresh' button on the right side of the notification to have the newly uploaded assets populate within the Gallery panel.
You can also click the 'Upload and Drop' button located at the top of the Gallery panel to upload assets; however you will only be able to upload a single type of asset, the type will be based on the Gallery panel tab that was active when the button was clicked.
Search for Assets
The Search Bar at located at the top of the Gallery panel can be used to search for specific assets, the search results will be based on Tags as well as the assets file name (as it is named within the platform).
Note: search results will be based on the Gallery panel tab that is active (Images, Videos, Files, Audio)
Preview an Asset
Asset thumbnails may be difficult to see on smaller screens however you have the ability to preview an asset in a larger popup window by clicking on the Play Button icon that can be seen while hovering over a specific asset.
To close out of the preview popup click the close 'x' button in the top right corner of the popup preview.
Add (Component Store) Panel
The Add panel allows users to quickly add multiple components to their slide without having to reopen the Component Store popup to add each component.
Click on the 'Add' (+) tab located in the left border of the layout window (while in Layout mode) to open the Add panel.
Adding Components to a Slide
You can to add any number of components, to a slide by clicking on the desired component shown within the panel.
Note: if your deck uses Component Styles, the components you select may enter with Default Component Styling
'View More' Components
The Add (Component Store) panel organizes components into different categories, but only displays a few of the more popular component options within each category.
Click the 'View More' text to the right of a categories title to view the full list of components belonging to the category.
To return to the Add panel view that list the different component categories click the '< Component Store' text at the top of the panel.
Search Component
If you know the name of the component you would like to add, you can also use the Search Bar located at the top of the Add panel to quickly find the component you are trying to add.
Icons Panel
The Icons panel will let users instantly add any number of icons to their slide without having to add the Icon component from the component store.
Click on the 'Icons' tab located in the left border of the layout window (while in Layout mode) to open the iIcons panel.
Add Icons to a Slide
You can to add any icon to your slide by clicking on the desired Icon shown within the Icons panel.
'View More' Icons
The Icons panel organizes icons into different categories, but only displays a few of the more popular icon options within each category.
Click the 'View More' text to the right of a categories title to view the full list of icons belonging to the category.
To return to the Icons panel view that list the different icon categories click the text that lists the title of the category at the top of the panel.
Search Icons
You can use the Search Bar at the top of the Icons panel to search key words to try to find an icon you are trying to add to your slide.
Note: additional icons can not be uploaded/added at this point in time; if you have a icon that you would like added, please contact your DIGIDECK Account Manager with the request, and our creative team can look into getting the desired icon(s) added in the future
Layers Panel

Click on the 'Gallery' tab located in the left border of the layout window (while in Layout mode) to open the Gallery panel.
Reorder Component Layers
The Layers panel allows you control the layering of components on your Slide, Chapter, and Deck (as well as the Chapter Background and Deck Background).
Within the Layers panel, click-and-drag a component layer to change the order of components. Components that are layered above others (nearer to the top), will overlay component layers beneath other (nearer to the bottom).
