A quick guide to connecting your DIGIDECK account to ChatGPT. A custom app links ChatGPT to DIGIDECK over the web—once it's added and you've signed in, your DIGIDECK tools (presentations, master decks, and documentation) become available to ChatGPT right inside your conversations.
ℹ️ A note on naming. OpenAI renamed connectors to apps. A "custom app" is what used to be called a "custom connector." Nothing about the functionality changed, and you may still see either word depending on your ChatGPT version.
Before you start
A paid ChatGPT plan on the web. Custom apps are available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education plans. They are not available on the Free plan.
Developer Mode turned on. This is the step that trips most people up. On Business, Enterprise, and Education workspaces, an admin has to enable it for the workspace first.

Turning on Developer Mode
Custom apps live behind ChatGPT's Developer Mode, so this has to be on before you can add one.
If you're on a workspace plan (Business, Enterprise, or Education)
Only an admin or owner can enable Developer Mode, and it can't be switched on by an individual member. Ask an admin to do the following:
Open Workspace Settings › Permissions & Roles › Connected Data.
Enable Developer mode / Create custom MCP connectors.
On Enterprise and Education plans, admins can also use role-based access to grant Developer Mode to specific people and control who can use each published app.
If you don't see Developer Mode or an Advanced section in your own ChatGPT settings, this admin step is almost always the reason. You can find your workspace admins under Workspace Settings › Members.
Turning it on for your account
Open Settings › Apps › Advanced settings. Depending on your version, this may appear as Settings › Connectors › Advanced.
Toggle Developer mode on.
Read and accept the warning. It explains that custom apps run third-party code on your behalf and can perform both read and write actions.
Once that's done, a Create app (or Add custom connector) option appears in your Apps panel.
Connection details
Name: DIGIDECK
Description: DIGIDECK presentations, master decks, and documentation tools
Remote MCP server URL:
https://ai.platform.sportsdigita.com/mcpAuthentication: OAuth
Client ID:
6a3be16a5c339c617d43b2edClient Secret: Shared securely via 1Password—see below
🔒 Your Client Secret is shared through 1Password. We'll send you a secure link containing the secret—open it, copy the value, and paste it into the Client Secret field during setup. Please don't forward the secret over email or chat. If you need it re-shared, just ask.
Step-by-step setup
With Developer Mode enabled, open Settings › Apps and click Create app (or Add custom connector).
In the Name field, enter
DIGIDECK.Add a short Description so ChatGPT knows when to reach for it, for example: "DIGIDECK presentations, master decks, and documentation tools."
In the MCP server URL field, enter:
https://ai.platform.sportsdigita.com/mcpFor Authentication, choose OAuth. Enter the Client ID
6a3be16a5c339c617d43b2edand the Client Secret from the 1Password link we sent you.Create the app. It will appear under Drafts in your app settings.
The first time you use it, ChatGPT opens a DIGIDECK sign-in popup. Make sure popups aren't blocked, then sign in with your DIGIDECK account and approve access.
Workspace plans only: an admin or owner needs to publish the app before members can use it. Go to Workspace Settings › Apps › Drafts › Publish and review the safety warnings, especially for write actions. Once published, it shows up in the workspace's approved apps list with a custom label. On Plus and Pro personal accounts, the draft app is available to you right away with no publish step.
Using the app in a conversation
ChatGPT won't always know to use a custom app on its own, so it helps to be explicit:
Name the app in your prompt, for example: "Use the DIGIDECK app to list my master decks."
For anything that writes or changes data, ChatGPT shows a confirmation prompt first. Expand the JSON payload and review it before approving.
If we add or change DIGIDECK tools, open the app's detail page and click Refresh to pull the latest tool list. Published workspace apps use reviewed version snapshots, so changing a published app's tools means submitting and publishing a new version.
Verify the connection
Start a new conversation on ChatGPT web.
Enable the DIGIDECK app for that chat. Developer Mode tools appear in the composer.
Try a simple prompt, such as asking ChatGPT to list your DIGIDECK master decks. If it returns your data, you're all set.
Troubleshooting
No Developer Mode or Advanced section visible: On a workspace plan, an admin needs to enable it first. On a personal plan, confirm you're on Plus or higher and using ChatGPT on the web.
Authorization fails or loops: Confirm the Client ID and Client Secret were entered exactly, with no leading or trailing spaces. If your token expired, re-authenticate.
The OAuth popup never appears: Check that your browser isn't blocking popups for ChatGPT.
No tools appear: Re-check the URL (
https://ai.platform.sportsdigita.com/mcp), then use Refresh on the app, or remove it and add it again."Access denied" after sign-in: Confirm your DIGIDECK account has the necessary permissions.
A note on security
Developer Mode is powerful. It gives ChatGPT full access to an MCP server, including write actions, and OpenAI does not verify custom apps. Only connect servers you trust—this one points to the DIGIDECK platform. Be mindful of prompt-injection risk in any external content you paste into a conversation, and always review write-action confirmations before approving.
