What is DIGI?
DIGI is DIGIDECK’s AI chat and editor assistant. You can ask it questions about the platform, or describe a change you’d like made to a presentation, and DIGI will make the edit for you.
DIGI is turned on for your deck by Sportsdigita; it can’t be turned on from your own settings. If you don’t see DIGI, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
Note: Turning on DIGI also turns on autosave. Autosave is what lets DIGI show you each edit on the slide as soon as it’s made, so the ‘Save’ and ‘Revert’ buttons no longer appear at the top of the slide. See the ‘Autosave and undo’ section below for how to step back from a change.
Looking for an older AI feature? Our earlier articles on ‘AI Editor Assistant’, ‘Create Slide with AI’ and ‘Create Presentation with AI’ (including the ‘Generate with AI’ button) describe a previous version of our AI features. On decks with the current version of DIGI, you simply ask DIGI instead.
Open DIGI
To open DIGI, click the DIGI icon (a blue circle with two white stars) in the bottom right corner of the page. The icon shows on most pages, whether you’re editing a presentation or in your ‘Presentations’ library.

The DIGI chat opens on the right side of the page. DIGI will greet you, and you’ll see three default prompts along with access to the ‘Prompt Library’. You can type your request into the chat area at the bottom, or click a prompt to add that saved prompt’s text to the chat area.

Note: Clicking a prompt only adds its text to the chat area; it won’t send it. Either way, click the submit button (the blue icon with a white arrow pointing up) to send your request.

Attach photos or files
You can give DIGI a file to work from, such as an RFP, a PDF, a screenshot or an image. Click the + button in the chat area, then select ‘Add photos or files’ and choose the file from your computer.
[Screenshot: the + menu open with ‘Add photos or files’ highlighted]
Note: Attach the file in the same message as the request that uses it. DIGI can’t refer back to a file you attached earlier in the chat, so if you want DIGI to use the same file again, attach it again with the new request.
VERIFY (delete before publishing): If you don’t see a + button, you may be in a different chat (for example, the chat that opens after creating a new slide), which can’t take files yet. Close that chat and open DIGI from the DIGI icon instead.
What DIGI can do
DIGI can update slides, restructure sections and tighten copy for you. Some examples of what you can ask:
Spell check your whole presentation
Translate text on a slide
Rewrite copy for a specific audience
Turn a long paragraph into a few short bullet points
Summarize meeting notes into slide-ready takeaways
Make design changes on a slide, such as adding a background behind a logo, resizing it or moving it
Create a new presentation from your master deck
When you ask DIGI to create a new presentation, it will ask follow-up questions if your request is broad. If your deck has a ‘DIGI Builder’, DIGI may offer to use it, which builds the presentation from a few quick answers.

If you’re not sure whether DIGI can do something, just ask; it will tell you if it can’t. If it says it can’t, try asking again in a different way.
Tips for better results
The more detail you give DIGI, the better it understands what you want. A short prompt like “create a presentation” usually won’t get you far. A prompt that says what you want changed, who it’s for, how it should sound and what format you want back will give you much better results.
Example prompt: “Rewrite this slide for a corporate meeting planner audience. Keep the headline under 8 words and turn the body copy into 3 short bullet points.”
You can keep refining the result with follow-up prompts until the slide looks the way you want.
What DIGI can’t do yet
DIGI can’t do the tasks below yet, but each one has a workaround:
Can DIGI create a new chapter?
Not yet. Adding chapters to a presentation is a limitation of DIGIDECK itself, not just DIGI. The workaround is to add a chapter from your master deck that isn’t already used in the presentation and rename it.

Can DIGI duplicate a slide?
Not yet. Open the slide’s menu and select ‘Duplicate’ instead.

Can DIGI move slides between chapters?
Not yet. VERIFY (delete before publishing): add the manual workaround here (for example, moving the slide in the ‘Slide Navigator’).

Can DIGI change animation timing?
Not yet. To change animation timing yourself, select the component in ‘Layout’ mode and click the ‘Component Animations’ icon (circle-in-motion) in the top border of the layout window. Each component has its own enter and exit animation settings.

Can DIGI undo several changes at once?
Not yet. Use the undo button (or Ctrl + Z / Cmd + Z) to step back one change at a time, or use ‘Slide History’ to restore an earlier version of the slide. Both are covered in the next section.
Autosave and undo
Because DIGI requires autosave, every change saves as it’s made, including the changes DIGI makes. While a change is saving, you’ll see a ‘Saving...’ indicator next to the ‘Slide Navigator’ button, which briefly changes to ‘All changes saved’ once it’s done.
To step back from a recent change, use the undo and redo buttons just to the right of the ‘Edit’ and ‘Layout’ tabs at the bottom of the editor (or Ctrl + Z / Cmd + Z). To go back further, open the ‘Slide’ dropdown in the top toolbar in ‘Edit’ mode and select ‘Slide History’, then click a save point to preview it and click ‘Restore Version’.
Note: Undo only remembers changes from your current editing session. Once the page is reloaded, or you reopen the presentation later, earlier changes can no longer be undone; use ‘Slide History’ instead.
